Solar Africa | Green Energy Journey
The Brief
Waddle Animations teamed up with Fable Studios to create a beautifully illustrated explainer video for our client SolarAfrica to explain to their customers how their Green Energy Journey works. We used a powerful narrative to connect with one of their most prominent client sectors, agriculture. The video aimed to inform SolarAfrica’s clients that their energy solutions are modular and can be implemented as an ongoing project.
This video influenced their entire digital appearance and led to an ongoing retainer agreement where we’re producing all of their animated content on a monthly basis.
The Process
Identifying a gap in their communication strategies, we decided to use 2D animation to explain their processes in a seamless way using characters, graphs and environmental design. We used their Corporate Colour Palette to create focal points in each scene, guiding the viewer’s eye through the story. The use of nighttime scenes vs daytime hints at the sunrising through the African continent depicted in their logo animation.
The Solution
An animation that serves as a golden thread off which all marketing and design efforts stem. The various illustrated scenes, industries, icons and characters can be seen in other collateral on their LinkedIn account, print ads and website.
